Now imagine ALL of your neighbors owning a vehicle that's orders of magnitude louder. Now imagine millions of these consumer-owned air vehicles flying over residential districts. People don't take care of their cars, what makes you think they'd take care of their air cars? People cruise down the freeway with no tire on one of their wheels... People are dumb. Legislators know this. And who's going to pay for the quadrillions of dollars needed to build and support the computing and networking infrastructure to steer every single person's airship at the same time, making sure there are no collisions? Yeah... so we're back to letting people pilot their own air car... Great... it's not like many moronic people choose to drink and drive or anything... or drag race... or use their knee to steer while applying makeup... Look, I'm not saying underground car-sized vacuum tunnels are the answer... But neither is letting your drunken hillbilly uncle fly his duct-taped flying car over my family's house. By the time the world has worked through actual problems like global warming, starvation, epidemics, idiocy of anti-vaxxers, religious violence, immoral, unethical, and irresponsible raising of children, pollution, racism, etc., and finally has enough money to build the infrastructure needed to support an automated system like the one for which this video claims WILL happen, I'd be willing to bet that we'll have better solutions by then... Hell, at the rate this world is going, we'll probably have Transporters from Star Trek before then.

I was quite relieved to discover that this video was not a "docuganda" about methamphetamine addiction...(just kidding) I remember reading a novel by Clive Cussler - The name of it escapes me at the moment - if you, the reader are not familiar with Cussler, he has one of the worlds largest and arguably best, most famous antique car collection. Among his many other amazing ventures & involving land & sea exploration, Cussler wrote many top notch, International Bestselling adventure fiction Novels & Books which feature his "alter ego" style characters "Dirk Pitt" and later "Kurt Austin". What makes this author one of my all time favourites, is that along with a well balanced, masterful blending of the best attributes from a wide variety of great fiction writers and their characters into his own unique cosmology, is his love for antiques as they pertain to the history to which they belong. Aside from great entertainment, I always learned a fair deal of interesting things or was inspired from each of his many books/novels (I've read most of them) - The particular novel which I'm reminded of featured as they all do, a rather unique, but real car or vehicle playfully woven into the story. Often there are more than one. In this case there was a "Moller" Skycar. Until seeing this video I only suspected the reality of it. Although the novel was written sometime - I believe - during the 1980's - And the Skycar was somewhat embellished, it was essentially more or less correct, and functioned as described here. So the design and idea has been around for decades, and seeing Dr. Moller on here as a non-fictional character makes this video & Cussler's novels all the more enriched ...for me at least.
